Drawing The World
One of the greatest joys of being a children’s book illustrator is getting to travel the world—sometimes with a passport, a pencil, an iPad, and a great story.Over the years, my illustration work has taken me on beautiful artistic journeys across continents and cultures.

From the vibrant markets of Latin America to quiet snow-covered towns in Northern Europe; from sun-drenched Mediterranean villages to the gentle Asian countryside filled with myths, legends, elephants, and timeless tales—I’ve had the privilege of visually exploring stories inspired by every corner of the globe.

Why it Matters
Children’s books are often a child’s first window into the world. When they see characters who look like them, families who resemble theirs, or traditions that feel familiar, they feel seen. When they discover people and places different from their own, they learn curiosity, empathy, and wonder.
My goal is to create illustrations that celebrate that diversity with respect, authenticity, and joy. Whether I’m drawing a classroom full of students from different backgrounds, a family celebrating a cultural holiday, or landscapes inspired by faraway places, I aim to bring warmth, accuracy, and humanity to each scene.
Global Stories
Because I grew up surrounded by rich traditions, languages, and art forms, I naturally gravitate toward projects that honor global storytelling. I love diving into research—studying fabrics, patterns, architecture, animals, foods, and daily life unique to each culture. Every detail becomes an opportunity to learn and share something beautiful with young readers. Illustration, to me, is a celebration. And the world gives us endless reasons to celebrate.
Art is a Bridge
Whether I’m collaborating with authors from Texas, Thailand, Greece, the Caribbean, or anywhere in between, I see every project as a bridge—connecting readers to new stories, new faces, and new ways of seeing the world.
My multicultural approach isn’t just a style; it’s a mindset. It’s the belief that children deserve books where the whole world belongs on the page.
If you’re an author or publisher looking to bring a global story to life—or if your world is filled with characters, traditions, and settings that deserve to shine—I’d love to hear from you. Together, we can create illustrations that reflect the beauty and diversity of our shared planet.
